Fluff, utter fluff. This was recommended to her friends at large by Mari SanGiovanni, author of Greetings From Jamaica, Wish You Were Queer. That is also fluff, and rowdy and enjoyable, not to mention very funny! I enjoyed this one, too.
I picked it up to read on nook. It is a story about an author who writes fluffy Southern romances. The author finds herself in a pickle and her daughter with her. The only thing she can think to do is to leave her penthouse in New York City, and go home to the family estate. Her father is suffering from dementia, her sister is in a tizzy and her brother is a fairly useless and quite lazy failed model.
Once she gets to the family farm, she finds resources within herself that she didn't know she had. She rises to the occasion and finds a way to save the farm, her father and ultimately her daughter and herself as well. OF course, there is a romance too, but I will leave it to yo uto figure out who and why.… (meer)
