This book does an amazingly thorough job of explaining Viking culture, lifestyle, traditions, religions, craft and economy. It does so through charming but ufussy illustrations. The tone of the 'blurbs' is humorous, and fun to read. This book goes beyond the myth of the Vikings into the real culture of a fascinating people. I am married to a Viking named Thor, myself, so I like to look at these pages and imagine him there.
