The book covers three main areas, starting with the foundations of science communication, visual perception and graphic design. Here, the author focuses on the aspects of graphic design that are particularly relevant for science communication, such as information organization, color and typography. The second main area is a more in-depth discussion of science graphics as a specific subgenre of visual communication. Finally, the author covers the process of producing science graphics, including a rich collection of case studies.
