Interesting for the amount of untranslated Chinese dialogue. When the Chinese characters speak in English, they aren't speaking pidgin, which is nice and a bit surprising. Warring Chinese families make peace due to an upcoming marriage--but crooks are intent on stealing a jade necklace worth $50K. They haven't counted on the intervention of Tarzan the Police dog, however. This appears to have been Tarzan's last film. His skills are nice but pretty silly. And imagine the poor human actors who had to be second billed to a dog. The acting isn't bad, however, for this sort of thing, and the 1935 filming, presumably in LA, is well worth seeing. But still, there's no good reason to spend your time on this one.… (meer)
