I absolutely fell in love with this series! I was so thankful all three books were in this box set. After finishing book 1 I knew I'd want to read the books about each brother. This wonderful series is about the Alexander brothers and the women they end up finding to complete them. A very closeknit family, we learn rather quickly something is different about them. The first in this series is about Kane. He encounters Damesha who is a stunningly exotic, blue eyed ebony skinned goddess. She's in town doing research for a historical book on a local woman from the past that was an escaped slave who'd lived in the area. While doing research she runs into Kane and he leads her to the property of this fearless woman she's learning about. Strange things start happening while they get to know each other. She hears strange animal noises and begins to think she's going crazy. Her life is different enough as it is since she has psychic visions or warnings of things to come. Little does she know the man she's come to love is part of a shifter family of which his elder brother Cade is the clan leader. What makes this shifter series different is these shifters can actually change into ANY animal shape they choose. Damesha and Kane face a multitude of things making their relationship harder. The main one being that Cade and the clan are 100% AGAINST this relationship and demand it end... The main reason being that their survival depends on secrecy. As Demesha is now pregnant this would be all but impossible to maintain. Little does big brother Cade know however that Damesha will be their savior in the form of her visions. Through her sight it helps save their brother AND their clan. With each successive book we find another soulmate for each brother... All as unique as each Alexander brother. Ann is settling into her new married life with Rager. Tensions appear to be rising among some of the wolf people and other aliens. As Ann helps the wives of other high ranking aliens to helping make their society more productive, she makes some friends and learns of these undercurrents. Is she truly safe? Her mother and Rex's mother are a source of support, but also appear to have secrets. This follow up book is really fun to read, and I look forward to book three.
