It was so easy to dive right back into her world, Colchamiro does a great job of bringing the setting to life around the reader, and dropping you right into the action. The story moves along smoothly at a good pace, and the action scenes are absolutely heart-racing. I was so excited to dive into another Angela Hardwicke mystery. I've come to love her as a character over the last two books, and this latest installment didn't disappoint. If you're new to the series, this is old school pulp fiction PI book meets urban sci-fi. While you can read it as a standalone, you'll find things have a bit more depth with the background of books one and two. On to this story - I got so invested in the plot from the start, I didn't want to put it down for one moment. Murder, real estate, and a questionable will combine with unforgettable characters to make an engaging mystery. This book will keep you turning pages from the start. I highly recommend beginning with book one, so you can really get to know Angela. She’s a spunky PI in a wonderful sci-fi world that Colchamiro has built. I absolutely love the idea of galaxy design as a college major, and Darla was an excellent character. There’s a definitely parallel to real life, and how ourselves and our lives are made up of many pieces, and sometimes we lose a piece, and won’t feel whole until it’s found.
