My grandchildren enjoyed the story. Children can relate to having a lot of things they really don't need. Makes them aware of the odd collections the tend to hang on to. I would recommend this book to anyone with children. Could open a few adult eyes, also.

Good story for the kids. My grandchildren enjoyed it. They can relate to jokes, as I am always joking with them. Jokes are a good devise for dealing with some things in life.

My grandchildren enjoyed the story even though I stumbled through it. Sometimes rhyming is hard on me and I'm exhausted when I finish. All in all, it was a cute story. Maybe it's better to alternate a simple story with one that rhymes.

Good story for children to realize that lucky charms or superstitions can be a little silly sometimes. You can also find back luck if you are looking for it. Always good to go the other way and find the lucky side of your life.

Whether you want something or not, if you can't have it–you want it more. This is very common with children. Then once you have it you don't want it. I asked my grandchildren, "Why did they want that apple so bad?"

OVER THE FENCE by Peter W. Collier
Illustrated children's book and it's a mystery about what is in the box and over the fence.
You are given clues and there are some rhyming words.
Anybody who came by to guess what was in the box had to pay ten cents and nobody guesses.
The guard even helped by giving others clues.
Love that the child will gain more imagination as the guesses are endless!
I have also read Snow Alligators by this author and smiled the whole book through.
