I've had the opportunity to read through several project management books lately and this one is by far the best intro-level, crash-course I have encountered. The concepts are explained clearly and the tools are straightforward and easy to implement right away. A great resource for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of project management and start applying the concepts to their work right away. As a life long project manager who did project management before it gained all its science so to speak, this book gets the new PM up and running quickly, which is extremely helpful for anyone who isn't a PM by trade but gets assigned a project and needs to used the modern tools. The best feature is the book outlines there are more than one way to perform as a project manager yet none are the one size fits all tool, you need to decide to some extent. This book gives you the path to find your own way and what the benefits and downfalls of each method are. The book does lean one way, which is the least paperwork way (hurrah for that).
