This is a gripping, fast- paced book, full of plot twists and nail- biting action scenes. I recommend this book to everyone! An awesome adventure!

The youngest Hexenjager member, Jakob, is back on the front line as he joins a team who are setting out to search for the Tablet of Breaking. They must recover it before the Watchers find it. The Watchers are fallen angels who have roamed the earth for centuries seeking revenge. Jakob has already encountered The Watchers when he was investigating some strange occurrences in a local cemetery. After losing a fight with them he remained conscious whilst they resurrected a dead prophet who was ordered to give them a clue to the Tablet's whereabouts. If they find the tablet they will use it to destroy the world. Jakob, his friend Armand join forces with a select group chosen by the Church authorities begin a mission that is a race against time. They travel across Europe barely staying ahead of the watchers and their army of resurrected dead, visiting the cliff-top monastery in Greece and barely escaping with their lives, to obtain the only weapon capable of killing the Watchers. Their desperate journey takes them to the mausoleum lying at the bottom of the Dead Sea. It is full of traps and if they can find their way through they have to find a way to destroy the Tablet. The Watchers are relentless and can resurrect Jakob’s own fallen comrades, at once gaining all the knowledge they have as well as turning their own fighting prowess and tactics against the small group.… (meer)
