Some good provocative essays on bibliographical method and thinking. A bit abstruse in places and a bit fast-and-loose in others, but well worth a look.

An entirely acceptable guide to the study of early printed books, though now probably superseded by Sarah Werner's more recent work, which is more timely and also more compact.

This form of memoir just didn't work for me at all. I found the style grating and the all-too-frequent mentions of "Linda Jane" more than a little annoying. I would have liked more on Maine and sailing (particularly the former) and much more on Dane's other work and career, which hardly figures here at all.

Too much wife swapping, too little sailing.

Meh- Abandoned.
