Okay, been a while, but I took a bit to read Dracula before reading this work. The stories, for the most part, were awesome, but will be a little difficult for anyone who hasn't read Dracula to follow. I am very eager to read more of these. "Love, Lucy" was the best one. I wish that one had been much longer.

It took me a while to get around to this book, but I finally got a chance to read it and I love these stories! So far I've been fortunate enough to read all the issues of Dracula Beyond Stoker and they have all been amazing. Like any anthology, you will enjoy some stories more than others but none of these are fails. I really liked Love, Lucy by Kay Hanifen which takes Lucy's vampiric existence from somewhat mindless predator like it is usually portrayed into a grief-stricken friend missing Mina. I have a thing for those angsty vampires (thanks, Anne.) I think this anthology is good for anyone who likes short stories, vampires, Bram Stoker's Dracula or just horror stories in general. I think we'll see many of the included authors doing lots of other great things (some are already!)… (meer)

This book is the third in a series of short story collections based on (riffing off) Bram Stokers's Dracula. The stories in this collection are based on the after-death activities of Lucy Westenra, one of the primary characters in Stoker's novel. In most of the stories, Lucy is referred to as "The Bloofer Lady" which is how small children who encounter her (the ones who survive) refer to her (meaning the Beautiful Lady). The stories range in time from the 19th through the 21st centuries and in place from England to the United States. They range in quality from good to very good! It certainly helps to have some familiarity with Bram Stoker's original stories (or at least to have seen the movies!). Recommended… (meer)

Nice set of stories. Definitely meant for people like me who love Bram Stoker's novel. Lucy is recognizable in all of the entries, but I enjoyed how not everything was "true" to the classic.
