Gisell contacted me about reviewing Conflict of Interest by providing me a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

In Conflict of Interest we meet Evan and Natalia.

Evan and Natalia meet at a club and instantly there is a connection. There is an attraction. Evan is sexy, controlling and dominant he shows Natalia a world of pleasure she has never know. Yet, they always have one issue. Why does Evan mysteriously up and leave? What does he do for a living? Even after Natalia finds out she stands by him and their relationship blossomed. What I really loved the most was that even though the relationship was going fast paced, Natalia wanted to take things slow. She really wanted to get to know Evan before making those big steps in their relationship.

The twists and turns in the book threw me off and I do mean that in a good way. I did not see those twists and turns coming. I was thinking one thing was going to happen then another thing happen completely throwing off my theory of what was going to happen next. Yes, there is a cliffhanger but it leaves you wanting more. I cannot wait for the second part. I am excited to see what other twists and turns Gisell will throw our way.

I received a copy in exchanged for an honest opinion. This does not influence my opinion in any shape or form.

I am going to try my best to do this review without spoilers. But if you haven’t read the first one, you need to pick it up in order to read Conflict of Interest 2. My review of Conflict of Interest 1 can be found here.

I was looking forward to Conflict of Interest 2, the way Giselle ended Conflict of Interest 1 left me craving more and I could not wait to read it. I was dying to know what was going to happen with Evan and Natalia. She delivered another good installment for the Conflict of Interest novellas but the first one was my favorite. I can’t really put my finger on why but I just preferred it.

Our Story
Like I said Conflict of Interest 2 picks up right where Conflict of Interest 1 ended. There was suspense, there were moments where you just wanted to slap someone and there was absolute bliss.

I loved how Giselle picked up right where Conflict of Interest 1 ended, she just drove right in giving a little bit of background to refresh your memory of what has happened in the previous book. I haven’t read the first book in a while so it was awesome to realize that I did not need to go reread book one in order to understand book two.

I guess the only real problem I had with the book was I wanted more drama with one of the characters. It sounds crazy and I know it is because I absolutely hated her but I wanted more of her craziness. I thought she was slightly crazy not like full blown crazy and I wanted full blown crazy. In my defense, I’ve been watching a lot of Spanish novellas and the girls on there are like beyond crazy so when I think crazy girl I think a girl from one of the novellas I watch.

Other then that, I did enjoy this story but like I said not as much as the first.

Our Characters
Evan is his usual alpha self in this book but I felt like Giselle tone downed his sexy side. I have no idea why but I felt like he wasn’t his dominate alpha self this time around but I think it has to do with the directions his life is going so I can understand why he had evolved. I just missed his sexiness.

Natalia was a bit harder to like this time around but with what she is going through it is totally understandable. However, I didn’t really connect to her this time around at least not like I did in the first book.

Overall,
I prefer the first book of Conflict of Interest but that doesn’t mean that Conflict of Interest 2 is bad by any means it is a good book. I enjoyed it and I am hoping that Giselle writes a third part because I need to know what happens. If you like alpha males then you need to meet Evan Daniels.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review, this does not influence my opinion in any shape or form.

Gisell has given me the pleasure of reading everything she’s working on. I was especially honored to read Shiraz before it was published. I had a feeling this was going to be my favorite out of Gisell’s novellas and I was right.

There’s just something different about Shiraz. Gisell’s writing is strong and addicting and I don’t know how to put it into words but Shiraz stands out from Conflict of Interest 1 & 2. It just demands a presence. I loved every minute of it.

Shiraz is told dual point of views but we mostly get Melinda’s point of view. I didn’t mind that so much because I felt like the story was more about her and her life versus Ryan.

The story was sexy, raw and everything that keeps you begging for more and has you wishing you could go out and find your own Ryan. Not even kidding.

I wouldn’t say this ends in cliffhanger because it really isn’t a cliffhanger per say. It’s just a really different ending one I freaking loved and I explained my thoughts to Gisell about it. I loved how she ended, I’ve never read a book that ends like that and IT WAS AN AMAZING ENDING. I need people to talk to about this besides Gisell.

I liked Evan Daniels from Gisell’s Conflict of Interest but after reading Shiraz I’m left saying “Evan who?” because I loved Ryan so much more! In my own personal opinion Ryan is a lot better than Evan. He’s someone you need to spend a couple hours with. I don’t think you’d regret it.
