Clark DeLeon is a typical native Pennsylvanian, which makes him a curiosity in states with more mobile populations. DeLeon has traveled the world, bu he has never lived more than 15 miles from his birthplace in Philadelphia. For twenty years he wrote "The Scene," a daily column in the Philadelphia Inquirer's Metro sectuib, A winner of national and statewide journalism awards, DeLeon's work has also appeared in national publications such a National Geographic, TV Guide, and US magazines. He currently writes a column for Metro, Philadelphia's newest daily newspaper. DeLeon, who became a grandfather in September 2003, lives in West Philadelphia with Sara, his wife of thirty-three years, and Molly, the youngest of their three children. Besprekingen

As a lover of travel books and being a PA native, I was curious (ha ha) about reading this book. The book talks about history and weird things throughout the state of Pennsylvania. I didn't like the fact that the author was biased where he grew up in Philadelphia that the majority of the book was facts and interesting things about Southeast PA.

An informative look at the idiocyncracies of PA. I really liked the stories. It's fun to read about the strange things going on in my home state.
