I like the subject, even though I disagree w/ using the term "worst" as if it's somehow 'objective'. Personally, I wd've put any cover in this bk that displays 4 or 5 guys looking tough (& stupid) - wch wd include a shitload of indie-rock, blah, blah, blah.. This author stays safely in the realm of record covers from 30 yrs before the bk was published. I'd add rap covers w/ expensive cars & gold necklaces too. But, then, that's an ideological diss, rather than an aesthetic one.

Some great and amusing LP covers, for instance The Singing Midget - Sing for God and Country; Fingerless Fiddler Roy Thackerson and Don Costa's Free Loaders Music to break a sub-lease.
