This small and simple book looks at some of the big themes life, from a slightly odd perspective of 'yeah, you're probably a sensible modern person who doesn't believe in old fashioned religious nonsense, but here is some wisdom you could get from religion if you stayed vaguely open minded to it'. Give thanks, appreciate the beauty of the world, note the turning seasons, follow the golden rule, have duties to your fellow men, and love, always love. There is a deeply Christian theme running through all of it, with occasional nods to 'other religions are also available', which is not surprising given both authors are anglican priest. If I had any criticisms, it's that this gentle, inclusive, 'it doesn't matter what you believe just try and live in a Good Way' approach can feel a bit like milksop at times.
