I'm going middle of the road for this with 3 stars as I would 5 star some but tbh some I would 2 star.

I do not want to name names so will leave this as a general review. I have read every story in this anthology and I loved the concept, but some stories seemed edited, polished and finished and some didn't. They felt rushed, unedited and incomplete.

The concept and idea of Taking a Chance on love, drew me in and given the opportunity to arc read and overall I did enjoy the book.

These 17 authors all came together to raise funds for AIDS healthcare, so grab this as you might find a gem or a new author to read.… (meer)

This short novel runs the gamut from stark and lonely to warm and reassuring by way of tense and frantic. While the story is refreshingly original, it's the characters that will keep you turning the pages.

Mick's week goes from bad to worse when the captain orders him off the ship to sit in a shuttlecraft in the middle of nowhere, guarding the body of a deceased ship's heart.

The thing is dislike about romance is the endless longing and gazing and all the pointless will-they-won't-they. Oh, and the fact so many writers seem to use romance as a half-arsed stand-in for character development. By giving us an established couple (Mick and Eizen), the author bypasses that and shows us a loving, healthy relationship instead.

Readers who enjoy the sci-fi of Patrick Tomlinson and Charles Stross will love this one.… (meer)

This anthology was amazing. If I didn’t know that the authors had written outside their normal genres from the blurb, I never would’ve guessed. Each story is unique with captivating characters and rich worlds. The plots were engaging and well paced. I loved that each story had a little intro, which gave you an idea of what to expect in the following pages, making it easy to pick and choose what to read. There’s a little something for everyone in this, so don’t let the chance to grab this anthology pass you by!… (meer)
