Luke Eastwood is an RHS trained Horticulturist, who studied at Dublin School of Horticulture. He has worked in the horticulture industry for well over 10 years, but he is also a Druid, having completed his training with OBOD and been involved in various groves and spiritual organizations for around toon meer 20 years. He founded Irish Druid Network and writes for various magazines and websites on spiritual, green, social and political issues. He is also a regional coordinator for Extinction Rebellion. Luke was born in Scotland, but has lived mostly in England and Ireland; he currently lives on the west coast of Ireland. toon minder

This is a great collection of essays, full of information and thoughtful, well-written opinions and views on Druidry. Eastwood has a way of writing that is easy to read and understand, and although it's easy to just read one or two essays then come back later to read more, I found myself enjoying them so much I ended up going through a section each time I sat down to read. There are six sections, ranging from basics to history and even one with various interviews. Out of all the sections, I think the Ethics section was my favorite, although the Metaphysics one is a close second. I can't say I disliked any of the sections, although some essays were more interesting than others. Anyone interested in learning about Druidry, considering following the path, or even on the path would benefit from reading the essays in this book. Highly recommend!… (meer)

A guide to gardening with a spiritual underpinning of respect for the Earth. This book has a general introduction to the concepts and a brief history of gardens followed by several chapters listing individual plants, scientific and Celtic names, traditional uses and growing requirements. This material is largely limited to plants that have been or can be grown in the British Isles. The final chapter gives methods of natural pest control. Index of common plant names and bibliography.
