While I agree completely that hypnosis and mindfullness should be used together, a lot of this information is not particularly new. Milton Erickson did close enough work many years before this book was published that I believe he (or one of his students) should be getting the credit. However, the key difference with Erickson's work and this book is that Erickson started making changes in a session. This book suggests this needs to be done over eight sessions. EIGHT! And still don't see a lot of change work being done in the transcripts. Maybe I have been too influenced by the SFBT people to appreciate the work Elkins is trying to do here?… (meer)
