Author Wallace R. "Wally"' Ely comes from a railroading familyhis dad worked for the Reading Company for 45 years. He is a volunteer and past president of the WKS Railroad in Kempton, Pennsylvania, and wrote a history book about that line, Does This Train Go Up Hawk Mountain? In retirement, Wally toon meer is a segment producer for RCN-TV in the Lehigh Valley of Eastern Pennsylvania. Wally uses any excuse to watch or ride on a train. toon minder

Does This Train Go Up Hawk Mountain: Including the… door Wally Ely
Had the pleasure of visiting this little attraction while in PA for a work trip. Sadly, we missed the last ride of the day, but we were able to see model train layout in an old train car, and we waited to see the return of the last ride of the day and watched all the smiling faces get off the train. Purchased this in the gift shop and read it as soon as i got home. It is an interesting story of a completely 'for-profit' entity functioning in a very rural spot in an endeavor that is usually a charitable 501(c)3. And all with volunteers!!! Impresssive.....i will return.....and ride the train next time! Glad i found the train and the book!… (meer)
