In reading this endeavor by its author, Debra Moore Ewing, I felt sort of a kinship with her. For the first 69 years of my life, I've been a secular individual, who had been, amongst other things, a multi-genre author and a book reviewer of a broad spectrum of genres. In August of 2018, I began reviewing nonfiction Christian books. The following year reviewing these books became a passion as about 45% of the 264 books I had reviewed had been for these books. This passion led me to publish my first two Christian books on January 11, 2020, which then inspired me to begin writing my Christian blog.

Like the author, I, too, struggled to get through a myriad of things without any assistance of spiritual nature. My blog led me to have a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and since then, I know I can turn to him whenever I'm struggling with anything I'm endeavoring to overcome. He even provides me with the answers to my questions regarding my passion for sharing His words with others. My faith has increased greatly ever since I've allowed Him to be an integral part of my existence, and my life feels more fulfilled because of this. When I thought about writing another Christian book, His presence in the relationship we have provided me with the guidance and inspiration I needed.

With my having met the Lord, I know that there's love. Since love is a two-way street, I feel that to receive the Lord's love in our lives; we need to give Him our love as well. Given this, I can't help but recall a sonnet I had to remember for one of my high school English classes. The sonnet describes how much a woman loves her lover, which in my trying to be a good Christian woman, I'm looking at how this sonnet epitomizes how each of us needs to love our Lord. I believe most of you who are reading are familiar with Sonnet 43 by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, "How Do I Love Thee."

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

For having freely shared her life experiences before and after having met Jesus, being the voracious reviewer of Christian books that I am, I've given Ms. Ewing the 5 STARS she richly deserves.
