As the title states this story is about the best laid plans. It was a cute and quick read about how we can have our futures planned out but life throws wrenches at us at detours our plans. Nat has loved Alden all her life and she has a magical night with him, which was her first time but it quickly turns out he doesn’t even remember and she ends up pregnant. Flash forward 4 years Natalie thought she was saving Alden by not telling him or anyone who the father was. Add some heated arguments, yelling, fights, then that anger turning to love you have their story but trust me the author tells it way better than I ever could. It was a sweet and cute read, quick but that doesn’t take away from it at all. I loved it.… (meer)

I knew from the last book that Duke's story was going to be emotional and boy it did not disappoint. Duke has endured things that no person should have to but it happens all the time, losing someone you love. Valorie is a twin to the woman that Duke was going to marry and by chance or fate her new job has her living in the same town, becoming friends with his friends and making a life for herself. We find out just how cruel she is treated by her mother and why she goes away to college to get away and has nothing to do with her family. Duke doesn't understand this and he thinks she is completely selfish when she is the exact opposite. These two had instant chemistry and attraction yet because of the taboo nature of their connection they both try to fight it. I really liked how when it came to Duke she did stand up for herself and a backbone. Duke, poor Duke struggled with his feelings because he thought he was betraying the memory of his first love but once he decided it doesn't matter what others think he goes after Valorie and won't take no for an answer. This book was about Colton the uptight lawyer who worked hard and took everything serious. He was not one that would let loose often and when he meets Ashley, the free spirited wedding photographer who thinks she has an intuition to recognize when a couple is meant to be and she definitely thinks Colton is her one until he opens his mouth. Colton thinks that because Ashley is straight forward and such a free spirit that she is unprofessional and tells her exactly that. To say these two are total opposites is a big understatement but then things happen and they both realize they need each other’s help. The more Colton and Ashely spend together the more Colton starts to relax and realize he needs her and not only that, but he wants her to be a part of his life. I loved this story and both characters were amazing and perfect for each other.… (meer)
