Julie Folkers

Reminiscent of some of Diana Wynne Jones' writing, but on a less professional level. A relatively well paced novel with a wide cast of characters and a few quirks to the plot. I did not, however, find it overly gripping and it still suffers from a few minor typos. Also, I was a little confused - is this the first book in the series, or not? The main plot point seemed to hark back to another story, so maybe I acquired the wrong one.
