Love this book! It is a mystery and it is an ode to a poodle, what could be better than that? Well...there is more that makes the book even better. The Blue Diamond: Jeweler's Granddaughter Mystery #1 has a lot of great facts about diamonds and gemstones in general. When a book is educational as well as entertaining, to me, that is brilliant writing. The little bit of history of the diamond was also interesting. I am someone who thinks diamonds are overpriced and over-hyped, so whenever there was the tiniest bit of sarcasm about diamonds in the story, it made me happy that I am not alone in my thoughts. I am looking forward to the publication of the next book in this series.… (meer)
