Here's what I wrote in 2011 about this read: "Good. Very thought-stimulating (because currently very relevant)." 2023 note - read as prepared to leave after 27 years at one of the world's best companies and a damn good employer. Helped me find my way to "Book 2" of work life.

Kind of a tedious do-gooder book about finding fulfilment in second, post-midlife careers. The theme is the statisfactions of moving from a life of success to one of significance, through socially beneficial work. What if one is more interested in reversing the trend?

Numerous resources are listed at the end of the book for those wanting to learn more about issues and approaches described in the book. This book will be of special interest to those considering how we may tap into the enormous resource that our elders represent for our communities and nation.… (meer)
