Steve Garrett has worked in the automotive and transmission industry for 40-plus years. As a service engineer and instructor for General Motors (GM) and the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association (ATRA), Steve is well-known in the automotive industry. He has authored industry books for GM, toon meer ATRA, and college textbook companies and has been a technical writer for multiple magazines. Steve speaks worldwide at approximately 30 conventions and conferences per year on automotive subjects, such as transmissions, engine control systems, chassis/body and brake control systems, hybrid and electric drive systems as well as electronics and communication systems. As an ASE Master Tech, I enjoy skimming through these types of books to catch a quick overview of the transmission in question and then see if there are any tricks or tips that can help me working on them. The picture quality was very good, the content was thorough and I didn't see any obvious mistakes. All-in-all a very good resource for the transmission tech or do-it-yourselfer working on this type of transmission.
