I may not understand how these thing work, but I do understand business models and that gaming and the metaverse are thing that are not historical in nature but VERY much today and in the future. My grandchildren do know a lot more about these things and will benefit from this Rebel Girls book just as some of them were really into many of the others in series!

Haven't read a Rebel Girls book I didn't admire and learn from! This edition focuses on women in music in the 20th and 21st centuries. There are full page briefs on 25 performers from all countries and all musical genres. There is even a rapper from Sri Lanka, a remarkable Tuareg band who use their earnings to help their people, Lizzo' with her flute and help from Prince, plus a number of single pictures with paragraphs on well-known performers from Maria Callas to Nina Simone and more. It ends with bonus activities and tailored encouragement from the Gibson Guitar company. Throughout there are bonus audio stories via scanning the QR code.

The Rebel Girls books are a great encouragement for the girls who will grow to be the movers, shakers, and fixers of the world they will inherit. The women in this installment are not all well known except in their home countries (or well publicized women like Bindi Irwin and Jane Goodall) and are from countries all around the world, like Australia, Madagascar, Thailand, India, Kenya, and Iraqi Kurdistan. This excellent book is designed to make all think outside the box and act in belief in their opportunity to study and become activists for the animal world before it is destroyed any further.

This is definitely more of an activity book. I went through and did all the quizzes, some were more accurate than others. This could be fun activity for a little girl to work on. I can also see this perhaps being more targeted toward a young reader than some of the other books. It took me about an hour to work up all the quizzes. If I were to buy this it would be more as a gift idea for a young one more than myself. This series of books always deserve applause for bringing attention to those who may be unrecognized because of their gender or race. Thank you to Netgalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review.

Quizzes for girls, women, and others that aren't about expected answers but to stimulate imagination and daring. There are countless examples of women who challenged themselves to become more of who they are, and the questions are positioned in each case so that the reader may or may not find herself there.
Excellent as always and perfect for giving and/or donating.
The pages are filled with colorful illustrations which add even more meaning to this book.

Composed of information, facts, and questions for today's rebel girls. The questions spark self reflection and analysis of one's surroundings. Badass women are shown as inspiration. Are you a rebel?
The whole Rebel Girls series is phenomenal. I have been following it from the first book. I love that many little-know rockstar women that patriarchal history has forgotten are being brought to the forefront. I see great value in this book for young girls to not only reflect and learn more about themselves, but also to show them what is attainable for a woman. This book can also be enjoyed with friends, siblings, and parents.

Opens a dialog with the reader or a group based on questions a noted person might ask of a reader today. Good to be enjoyed alone or in group (Scouts, Youth Group, etc). great for making a person think about the present and future as well as learning to appreciate past leadership. Superb!
