My favorite political book of all time.
In 1982 Mr. Golitsyn, an ex-KGB spy, made 148 specific and falsifiable predictions about the future of the communist bloc, and 139 turned out to be right, a success rate of 94% in a time when other analysts managed a perfect 0% score. Not only that, but his biography (unfortunately almost absent in the book) is so interesting that even Alfred Hitchcock made a movie about him. In short: this book is a must read for anyone interested in both Cold War current world affairs. Just read it.
