Dara Martin could be a powerful mage but she's blocked by the fact that she's illegitimate, in a witchy world where blood means more than skill she's disadvantaged and the mages who have the power aren't willing to share, until there's bodies and a new mage from another place recruits her to help him.
It's not a bad read but there were moments where I really found it a bit of a slog to continue.
