Funny enough. If you liked the title, I regret that that is about as good as it gets in this slim anthology of essays about "A thugs' game; played by gentlemen."
This one is a perennial favourite. I keep it in the loo, a mark of high respect!
if you were to mix Pepys diary with Fielding's 'Tom Jones',then add a touch of Monty Python,you would get the feeling of 'Squire Haggard's Journal'.
