- Graduate of Harvard 1814. Theological courses at Cambridge, and ordained Oct 21 1818. After serving as Pastor of the New South Church in Boston for about a year, his health required renewal and he set forth to Southern Italy, but could not continue past England. After returning home, he spent two years in Baltimore, preaching occasionally. On May 18, 1824, he married Maria Goodwin. He was installed as the Unitarian pastor at King's Chapel and remained for 18 years.
