Quirky. Surreal. Enjoyable reads. The characters Dina Guidubaldi creates are memorable and we've all most likely met them, either in real life or in our dreams. Last night I read about a cast of characters who arrive as guests at the narrator's house. The first one eats fish all the time; the second turns to a statue that lives on her porch; the third becomes a lover until the first fish eater reappears.

Dina Guidubaldi's How Gone We Got is a collection of creative, quirky short stories. Guidubaldi's look at the world and descriptions of situations are one of a kind. As I read each story, I could picture the characters and the settings and feel what the author intended. I was entertained by the stories and feel that Guidubaldi has a bright future in writing interesting and a bit off-the-wall stories.

Early Reviewer Book: Deep, dark and original, many of the short stories resonate long after you read them. I will read more of this writer's work. Good read. Good writer.

This is an Early Reviewer book. I enjoyed it. It was a mixed bag of short stories. The stories are dark in nature. I like some, more than others. My favorites were "The Desert : A Field Guide" and "The People vs. FAbHome"
