I love how readers get to follow the story of Patrick’s weird life, while also learning about God’s word along the way. In the installment in this series, Patrick Wigglesworth gets swept into the Bible and is led by Moses through the first five books of the Bible. This page-turner encourages kids to think more deeply about God and the Bible. The clever plot and hilarious drawings will make you laugh aloud; it is nearly impossible to put down! Little Kid Reaction: A friend’s daughter liked the book and its format. I’m not sure, though, if she would read it on her own or just did so because she was asked.

Big Kid Reaction: I liked the format and the approach the authors used. The art is excellent and the focus on “main ideas” is good for young children.

Pros: This is an excellent way to introduce and explore the Bible with children.
