Accounts of the Madeline Smith, Oscar Slater, Dr. Crippen and Dr. Palmer trials, condensed from the Famous British Trials series. The Slater entry is overlong, and the Palmer one is affected by an overlong description of the financial finaglings that formed the motive. Smith's is the best one in the book; for Crippen, you're better off reading Erik Larson's book "Thunderstruck."

Why did I buy this? I think it was for Hawley Harvey Crippin, pp. 111 - 138.
