Ella Hudson

Hudson Hates School is a book about a child who hates school because he is having trouble learning. The book does a great job of explaining dyslexia and would be a great tool to teach children about what it means to have dyslexia. In the beginning of the book, Hudson dreads going because he fails tests and the other children laugh at him. When another adult comes in to test him, he is less than thrilled. But this test is different. This test has no "right" or "wrong" answers and he gets to use puzzles and blocks. After testing, Hudson learns he has dyslexia and he moved to another class with others just like him. Now Hudson loves school!… (meer)

Hudson Hates School is a book about a little boy named Hudson who loves doing a lot of different things but he hates school. His mother has to drag him to school. When he gets there, there's a spelling test. Hudson does terribly on the spelling test and he gets laughed at by the whole class. His teacher asks him to stay inside during play time so that he can practice his spelling. Hudson is then brought to a special doctor who gives Hudson a dyslexia test and it turns out Hudson has dyslexia. He is put in a classroom where there are other children with dyslexia and the teacher has a specialty in helping kids with dyslexia.
