The detail of this account is staggering, and of particular interest to lovers of old Chicago: it wasn't all that long ago when one could follow Hunt's story block by block in the Fullerton/DePaul neighborhood, which was, in Cronin's time, the Town of Lakeview. The book makes a perfect companion piece to Mary Maher's The Devil's card.
