A fascinating look at Dutch culture through the eyes of two expats who are raising their children in the Netherlands and outside of their respective home culture. Their anecdotes are relatable and funny, but also supported by research findings as well as interviews with professionals in Dutch education and health.

I found the style to be a bit like Dutch parenting: relaxed, fun with none of the judgmental stress that often comes with parenting books.

Easy to read, enjoyable and a great reminder that offering a child a safe and loving home is something that all of us can get behind.
