I found this to be an interesting story, and I'm genuinely curious to see where it goes. I like the array of characters (Mikasa is my favorite right now) and I feel like they can certainly carry the story forwards.
However, the timeline felt a bit unclear at times, and I wasn't sure if the diagrams/wall illustrations throughout were part of the narrative or author notes?
I also found the art to look askew in regards to a lot of the human body sizing. Limbs and heads looked too small for the bodies and vice versa. The drawings were a little amateurish at times.
I'll read on through the next couple volumes at least- seems like a promising series.

im not really sure how i feel about eren he is very whiny
i think the timeline couldve been done a bit better the placement of the volumes is a bit weird
the art is not that great but i wont judge cause i wouldnt be able to do that, I think it probably gets better later on anyways. (ive yet to find any scenes/drawings I love yet)
Volume 3 was definitely my favorite, but yea overall its fine.

I feel like this volume, in particular, added a lot of context that was not fully included in the show. Well worth the read!!

A unique idea. The artwork is pretty crude, but the story interested me. Will give it a couple more books to see if it gets better.

It's wild. It's like "Game of Thrones" meets "World War Z," but with giant naked dudes who want to eat you. The story follows Eren Yeager, a hot-headed teen who wants to join the Survey Corps to fight off the Titans and reclaim humanity's lost territory. The action is intense and the art is super detailed, but I gotta warn you - this comic is not for the faint of heart. There's blood, gore, and some seriously messed up stuff. But if you're into that kind of thing, then go for it.

I don't understand how he dreamed about the future without having the power of attack titan, but it doesn't matter to me.
It made me ugly cry.

I don't know why but what that Marleyan soldier said is not convincing enough to me. And why is the beast titan there??? I'm confused.

While I'm not generally a manga fan, I do tend to pick the more "gritty" titles that make it big. Berserk, for example. So, the enormous success, and markedly dark tone, of this series drove me to pick up the first volume.

It was a good decision. The worldbuilding is interesting, the conflict original, and characters aren't immediately off putting.

It does suffer from "manga series disease," meaning that in the entire first volume we only get a basic introduction to the story and endless, tiresome exposition.
