DNF - too many weren't my cup of tea.

I describe myself as a die hard Carly Phillips fan. Her stories are full of risk, excitement and tantalizing sex appeal. She brings it in every novel she writes. Her Dares are a walking fantasy, so to have a chance to step back into that world through the eyes of another author and her characters is strange but brings about a fresh thrill. Familiar, yet new is the perfect description. I received a copy of A Scandalous Dare by A.C. James in exchange for an honest review. Ms. James brought her brand of spice and added to the possibilities of an already established series. Harper was my favorite character. She was a ball of fire in a conservative package and Sawyer was the match that set her ablaze. Talk about a hostile takeover. A.C. James added the pepper to an already flavorful series.

Cari has recently gotten out of a bad relationship and she went back to the only place she felt safe. Home. It has been almost a year and now she is ready to get back into the game. Plus she is also ready to open up to best friend, Jess, and tell her what happened to her in the relationship to make her leave. Now that Cari is getting back into the game she needs a date to school reunion and Jess talks her into using a dating agency. And from her first date with Liam things just start to fall into place for Cari. Then a blast from her past comes knocking at her door.

Liam has alwayz had a thing for Cari. When he is set up on a date with her through an agency, he thinks it fate for them. And he plans on making sure that she knows how special she is to him. But someone else has others plans to destroy what Liam is trying to build with Cari. Will this person succeeded in destroying something before it can even start?

I loved this book. I could not put it down once I started reading it. The flow of the story was good. The sex scene was almost sent the tent up into flames. I can't wait to read another book by this author. I recommend this book to others.

Super short (14 pages), super hot. It's not really a STORY, in that there's a character who wants something and tries to overcome an obstacle to get it, more of a sex scene. Not many clues the character(s?) are vampires, either, but as long as blindfolds and nipple clamps don't squick you out, still very enjoyable.
