The photography in this book is SO CUTE! The patterns are simple, basic patterns, most didn't much appeal to me. I'm tempted to make all three bootie patterns, despite knowing they wouldn't stay on a baby's foot for more than 5 seconds - they're painfully adorable :)

Excellent how-to instructions, but not great illustrations to accompany them. Additional photos or illustrations in the patterns would have been good, and I wouldn't call some of the hats terribly attractive. However, good suggestions for alternate stitches and skills to learn.

The patterns in here are mostly for casual women's hats. They are pretty straightforward, though, and should be approachable for those without tons of crochet experience. They also include things like beaded hats and crocheted flower embellishments, so I see lots of potential for doing variations on the patterns.

Beautiful pictures. Wonderful variety of techniques as well as nice pictures with different yarns for same scarf. Good instructions for beginners. Other goodies included also.

A book for those starting off, clear instructions, a gradual build in difficulty of projects and size of projects without the projects being too simple and boring and well-illustrated. Schematics are included for each project but it doesn't introduce the international symbols. Not a bad beginner book.

US terms in the book but it's clear about that and it also has clear crochet basics for lefties.

Starting off with a really good section on how to crochet this has some interesting projects that have interesting accent suggestions

With a wide variety of techniques from basic crochet to hairpin lace and a single cheat technique in daisy loom work, still the styles are pretty classic and with good photography and technique hints it's one of the better simple scarf books. Some could be readiy adapted to lose the fun-fur. Each pattern also has alternative yarn ideas photographed which are quite interesting.

I did get this on interlibrary loan and liked many t hing in it and if I can ever get it again there are pojects I would do.
