Geoffrey Jensen

Geoffrey Jenson does a fine, comprehensive and surprisingly decent job with the short military biography “Franco: Soldier, Commander, Dictator.” There’s not much that I can add descriptively to what the Amazon blurb doesn’t already cover. However what I can say is that Mr. Jenson casts a new light -at least for me- on Franco’s tactics in the Spanish Civil War. Due to this I think I now have a better understanding of el caudillo than I had previously. I thoroughly enjoy these military profile books put out by Potomac so much so that I picked up thirteen of them last weekend on our family’s book buying trip to Seattle. They tend to pack a punch in a short amount of space and as Mr. Jenson proves, they are very rewarding.… (meer)
