Three Little Pigs is a classic children's book and its lesson in the end is something that all children need to learn. Sometimes the quick solution to a problem is not always going to work and it most certainly will not last. The pigs learn that a solid brick house is their best bet when it comes to protecting themselves from the Big Bad Wolf. Building a brick house takes time, patience, and hard work, but hard work always pays off in the end.
"Take a hike through the world's forests and meet some of the creatures that live there" invites the cover to this sturdy, children's book. And in its large, colorful pages, youngsters can learn about beavers, moose, bears, lynx, and birds, inhabitants of the boreal forests of North America and Europe. Three "giant foldout" pages open into 18x18 inch spreads to highlight grizzlies, birds of prey, and the importance of saving forest environments. The accompanying text is minimal, and presented in eye-catching colored boxes, with occasional details about the animals offered in boxes called "FactFiles." This book is great for ages pre-k to second grade. Each page has a beautiful picture with glitter. This story will reinforce to children the idea of staying safe and not wandering off. It also reinforces that mothers love their chldren and always will.
