This one is really weird and somewhat pornographic. It's very much in the style of Cronenberg Body Horror with the fetish levels turned up to max and viewed through intense neuroses all twisted and melted together in a surrealist bent. The artwork is solid though the story structure is almost non-existent in any given story, they play more like segments in a collage that follow a strange idea or character reacting to a strange idea until distraction sets in and the "story" abruptly ends. If any of that sounds interesting to you then I can recommend this to you, if not then stay far away. I liked it but would have liked at least one traditionally structured story exploring the neurotic fantasies within.… (meer)

What a fascinating compilation of stories. Some are horrifying, some are funny, all are disgusting! I recently read DDT and hated it (see my review) and this compilation was the exact opposite. This is how bizzaro horror should be done. Anthologies are always prone to unevenness and that is true here, but it's certainly a great read for the strong of stomach.

Sick day! Chest cold and laryngitis. Time to rest, read, and review.

Hard working home health aide Yukie Sakai is the protagonist of this odd collection of satirical horror stories featuring senior citizens. Each story starts with Yukie meeting a new client. Things escalate as bizarre scenarios involving body horror, super powers and even aliens are introduced. And when each scenario has been escalated to an over-the-top point of absdurdity, the story ends without dealing with any of the many, many consequences that would ordinarily have to be dealt with. Turn the page, watch Yukie meet a new client, and repeat.

Sure some social and political issues are addressed, but in the end this is just weirdness for weirdness' sake.
