K. Limakatso Kendall

A collective effort that is truly 'own voices', a group of Basotho women wrote stories of their own lives or women they know about life in Lesotho. Many of these women-centered stories include 'Sesotho-ised English' and as Kendall says, "This collection is therefore a hybrid: a bridge, perhaps, between orature and literature. At the simplest level it is story-telling made solid in print." An interesting look at the life and culture of Basotho women.
