I think you have to go into this one with the right attitude: you'll be reading about millennial Kardashian wannabes who do awful things while partying in Nantucket and the unscrupulous business people who are footing the bill and taking advantage of the youngsters.

The people are shallow and mostly not too bright, their behavior is deplorable, and they curse like sailors. That said, this whole thing is just a soap-y, gossipy, murder mystery and it's good fun if you want to escape into a mindless party scene for a little while.

If you don't think about it too much and go along for the ride....it's a fun ride. If you are looking for something literary or with great depth this will surely disappoint.

Did no one proofread this? I was intrigued by the premise of the book at first but the more I read, the more mistakes I saw that became too distracting. There were grammatical errors and unnecessary uses of punctuation (periods where there’s should have been commas) and some sentences that were lacking any. Random words like “if” instead of “of” or other words that didn’t flow with the sentence at all and were most likely missed typos. Some. Sentence. structure.that.felt.too.forced.like.This.

I also feel that the ending was rushed and wrapped up too nicely, after coming off chapters that introduced 6 sub plots and a “surprise” reveal… (meer)

The Genres for this novel are Fiction and Contemporary Fiction. Most of the story takes place in Malibu, where the Seasonaires, make money promoting Lyndon Wyld’s fashions by all media. There are twists and turns and betrayals, as each of the characters tries to be the most popular. The author describes her characters with their own set of problems to work out, complex, and complicated.

Mia and Presley are back from the first book. Mia’s mother has just passed away, and Lyndon convinces her to come back for the summer. Brandon is the son of Lyndon’s partner who will be adding a digital channel and is always walking around with a camera.

There are some people who want revenge on Mia, from the year before, and there are threats and danger. I would recommend this entertaining novel for those readers who enjoy an exciting and action filled story.… (meer)
