The Sum of Our Parts: No Bones About It arrived today, but I almost didn't have a chance to look it over because my husband practically snatched it out of my hands. When I did finally get a chance to check it out, I found it to be one of the most entertaining and delightful bone/skeleton books I have ever read. The rhymes are catchy, the illustrations fresh, the factoids interesting. This is a fantastic book for people of all ages and would make a superb addition to any home school curriculum. The fact that this book is just the first in a series of books intrigues me even more. Mr. Kirk seems to have a sure winner on his hands.… (meer)

The double entendre in the title adds to the whimsy of My Grandma’s Kitchen Rules. A sweet tale of a grandmother and granddaughter bonding as the kitchen rules are imparted. The rhyme scheme flows easily.
Whether the child reads the story alone or curled up in an adults lap, they will enjoy the fun and facts in the book. A word search, factoids and more is included in the six pages of educational exercises and material at the end of the book..
