Offering recipes designed for children, this manages to combine a lively presentation that will appeal to those younger ones without sacrificing clarity of presentation. The range of recipes is wide and provides for a healthy diet, and the many photographs often show young children enjoying or occasionally helping prepare the dishes. Many of the recipes include little tips that suggest ways of encouraging children to enjoy the dish, ideas for getting them involved in the preparation, or other suggestions or alternatives for the recipe.

The book certainly has possibilities for developing a real interest among the very young for good food; if I have a criticism it is that I would have like to see even more suggestions for involving the young in the preparation including some in which they could play a much greater part.… (meer)
