HARDSCRABBLE door ANITA KUNKLER
This is probably one of my favorite books. I read it back in 1987, when I lived in Shasta county, very near the location of the story. Based on a true story of a young woman in the early 1900's. Delightful charactures, adventure, and humor. a wonderful read. I kept thinking Robert Redford should make it a movie. You can only find this gem online through Shasta county library.
