I tried really hard to get into this book but it never fully grabbed me. I found myself attempting to connect with the characters, but they weren't very relatable and the situations they were put into were extremely unrealistic. I think this book had a really excellent premise, but missed the mark in terms of writing.

I had very high hopes for this book, as I normally enjoy supernatural reads but I found this very hard going and was just not connecting to the main characters.

I received this as an Early Reviewer book. The premise sounded interesting, and I was looking forward to getting into this book; however, it didn't take long before the author started to lose me despite some excellent descriptive language. Totally unbelievable and unsympathetic characters are thrown into situations that get less and less likely. This struck me as the sort of story an adolescent boy would write as a series of installments to pass around the back of the classroom.
