Archie's Ten Issue Collector's Singles Vol. 1, #9 door Rudy Lapick
The 3 stories in this issue: Your Date With Veronica, Talk Show, and Crowning Achievement are all great. But the last story would be on my top because it's funny that Veronica forgot the first rule of any contest. In the end, his dad still comfort her that Betty, her best friend, won the contest.
This is the last issue in this volume and what better way to end it but to end up with one of the issues of Archie & Friends. Band Together is a nice story but my favorite is Chuck & Moose in That's The Ticket. It's very rare to read stories about Chuck and Moose, and their girlfriends Nancy and Midge. So, it's really great that they included them in this issue. The one-page story A Tired Excuse is funny also because of the reason how Archie still chose to walk home rather than take the bus.… (meer)
In this issue, Betty and Veronica tries to compete with Cheryl in order to snatch Archie away from her. In the end, Betty and Veronica still felt that they lose even if they won the jet ski race because Cheryl is still close to Archie.
Cheryl's Dad offered Archie a job as a groundskeeper in their mansion. He wants Archie to be closer and spend more time with her daughter because he thinks that Archie is the best prospect for her. Jason, on the other hand, planned to sabotage Archie but instead of making him lose his job in the mansion; all those plans backfired because his dad and their neighbor adores Archie more.
