This is acceptable as a basic reference but it could have been stronger with more illustrations. Many of the illustrations included are not particularly clear or revealing and the mass of details obscures rather than clarifies the nature of the weapons discussed. It may have some use as a rudimentary source but there must be better and more dynamic accounts of U.S. military weapons.

One of illustrations that would be more helpful is a depiction of newer weaponry such as the B-2. Doubts existed about newer technology, such as the B-2 (Stealth) Bomber until it was actual successfully deployed in warfare during the Bosnian crisis (Cf. Halberstam, War in a Time of Peace, "Novi Sad Bridge in downtown Belgrade," p. 459).… (meer)
